Mumbai local train murder case has shocked the city. According to police, 22-year-old Mayank Lohar, a resident of Virar who worked as a salesman in Andheri, was travelling home in the first-class compartment of a Churchgate–Nallasopara fast local train on Tuesday night. During heavy rain, an argument reportedly broke out between Mayank and another passenger, Roshan Suvarna (30), over whether the train coach door should remain open or closed. The dispute escalated between Goregaon and Kandivali stations, and police say Roshan allegedly pulled out a knife and stabbed Mayank inside the moving train. Despite efforts to save him, Mayank later succumbed to his injuries. After the attack, the accused fled the train, but Mumbai Railway Police tracked him using CCTV footage and arrested him within hours.
