A little piece of me dies every time I see a senior professional with 15 years of experience treat their job search like they’re applying for their first internship. They open LinkedIn once a week. Maybe twice if they’re motivated. They apply to three roles. Then they wait. And wonder why nothing happens. If you’re looking for 50+ LPA roles, let me be very clear: companies at that level are not sitting on LinkedIn refreshing the applications tab waiting for your resume. Senior roles don’t get filled through job boards. They get filled through referrals, reputation, and people vouching for you before your name even comes up. No one hires someone they can’t see. No decision maker takes a risk on a name they’ve never heard before. If they don’t know you, you’re invisible. It doesn’t matter how good your resume is. Hiring leaders at this level don’t scroll profiles. They rely on trusted people and trusted signals. That’s why visibility isn’t optional anymore. It’s your currency. If you want 50+ LPA roles, stop waiting for calls because you applied. Start showing up where decisions are being made. Share how you think. Show your leadership and impact. Be present where senior leaders already are. I know it takes time. I know it takes effort. And yes, sometimes it takes money. But at this level, you’re not just being selected. You’re being endorsed.
