In the mountains, most landslides don’t come from “nowhere.” They erupt where the ground was already cut, highways carved across river paths, tunnels drilled into fragile slopes, foundations that should never have been disturbed. When the rain comes, it follows those weak points. Our nervous system works in the same way.
