Korean Potato Balls Recipe Ingredients • 3–4 boiled potatoes (medium size) • 2–3 tbsp corn starch • Salt (to taste) • 2–3 garlic cloves (finely chopped) • 2–3 tbsp green onions (chopped) or curry leaves (optional) • 1 tsp red chilli powder or flakes • 1 tsp soy sauce • 1 tsp sesame seeds (til) • 1 tbsp oil • ½ tsp jeera (cumin seeds) ⸻ Method 1. Make the potato dough: • Mash the boiled potatoes in a bowl. • Add corn starch and a pinch of salt. • Mix well and shape into smooth balls. 2. Boil the balls: • In a pan, add water with 1 tsp oil. • Once it comes to a boil, gently drop the potato balls. • Boil for 2–3 minutes until they float, then take them out and keep aside. 3. Prepare the seasoning: • In a small pan, heat oil. • Add jeera (cumin seeds) and let them splutter. • Add chopped garlic and sauté until golden. • Add green onions or curry leaves, soy sauce, red chilli, and sesame seeds. 4. Combine: • Pour this hot tadka over the boiled potato balls. • Toss and coat them well. 5. Serve hot as a snack or side dish.
