
Aaloo Makhane Snacks for Vrat/Navratri recipe 🥰🙏🏽 Ingredients: • 2 boiled potatoes (cubed) • 1 cup makhana (fox nuts) • ¼ cup peanuts (roasted/fried) • ½ cup curd (dahi) – whisked smooth • 1 tsp cumin seeds (jeera) • 6–7 curry leaves (kadi patta) • 1 green chilli (finely chopped) • ½ tsp red chilli powder (optional, according to vrat rules) • Sendha namak (rock salt) – to taste • 2 tbsp oil/ghee (as per vrat) • Fresh coriander leaves (finely chopped) ⸻ Method: 1. Fry Potatoes & Makhana • Heat oil/ghee in a pan. • Add cubed boiled potatoes, fry till they turn golden and crisp. • Add makhanas and sauté for 2–3 minutes till crunchy. • Add roasted peanuts, mix well, and keep aside. 2. Prepare Tadka for Dahi • In the same pan, add a little oil. • Put jeera, curry leaves, and chopped green chilli. • Let them splutter. • Add a pinch of red chilli powder and immediately turn off the flame (so it doesn’t burn). 3. Mix with Dahi • Add this hot tadka into whisked curd. Mix well. 4. Combine Everything • Add this dahi mixture over fried aaloo–makhana–peanuts. • Season with sendha namak. • Garnish with fresh coriander.
