Looks like you’re done. [remove plate, end meal] When they refuse to get ready: ❌ “Please get dressed, we’re getting late! Come on, beta...” ✅ “It’s time to get dressed. You can choose or I can help you.” [wait 5 seconds, then help] When they grab toys from siblings: ❌ “Share nicely, beta! Give it back to didi, please?” ✅ “That’s her toy. You can ask or wait for your turn.” [return toy to sibling] When they run away in public: ❌ “Come back! Beta, please listen to mumma! One more time and—“ ✅ “We hold hands or I carry you. You choose.” [immediately pick up if they run again] When they interrupt constantly: ❌ “Beta, mumma is talking. Can you wait? Please, just 2 minutes...” ✅ “I’m talking right now. I’ll come to you when I’m done.” [ignore interruptions, then give attention] When they refuse to clean up: ❌ “Please pick up your toys, beta. If you don’t, then... okay fine, I’ll help but you have to—“ ✅ “Toy time is over. We’re cleaning up now.” [start cleaning, they can join or watch] The shift? You’re not asking. You’re KINDLY telling them what’s happening and following through.
