Stop hating on India. Seriously. Social media loves to flatten a whole country into chaos and stereotypes, but watching this made me feel nothing but grateful. I didn’t suddenly change my perspective, it reminded me of what I already knew and how much I miss it. I have ADHD, and when I lived in India, I never felt “too much” or out of place. I was loud, messy, clumsy, and fully myself, and that was okay. In the UK, I constantly feel like I have to fit into a version of “normal” that doesn’t come naturally to. Sometimes I catch myself wondering if something is wrong with me, when really, I’m just wired differently. India gave me space to exist just the way that I was. India gets too much hate for what social media chooses to show. Let’s change that together. 💛 If you’re neurodivergent or have lived between cultures, did one place ever make you feel more “at home” in yourself?
