There is something powerful about giving children a space where they don’t have to “perform”… just express. Today’s creative journaling session at @pustaka_hyderabad was not about writing perfectly. It was about noticing their thoughts, their feelings, their small everyday moments. From “Right now, I feel…” to building their own word mandalas, it was beautiful to see how naturally expression flows when there is no pressure, no judgement. Some wrote quietly, their emotions raw and heartfelt. Some filled their pages with words and doodles. Some discovered thoughts they didn’t even know they had. And that’s the point. What really touched me was some of them writing about how today's session made them enjoy journaling. When children learn to sit with their thoughts, they slowly learn to understand themselves. And that is a skill far beyond writing. If this continues beyond one session, even a few minutes, a few times a week, it can become their lifelong space of clarity, calm, and creativity.
