Last Saturday evening at @sagebrookschool , young writers stepped into the Character Factory Workshop and began building people who feel real, layered, and unforgettable. Through thoughtful prompts, imagination exercises, a fun character interview activity, and guided exploration, kids moved beyond name-age-hobby to understand what truly shapes a character — fears, motivations, contradictions, relationships, and choices. Loved how each character began to come alive with depth and voice. It was wonderful to see kids think deeply, ask insightful questions, and experiment with complexity which I believe is an important step towards more powerful storytelling.
