Maiden visit to Mandi at Dehradun's very own @cafecomm after 5 or 6 years of stalking and procrastinating! It almost felt like circling back to a retro melody with a glass of red wine. About the Sunday Mandi- it is this adorable flea market that is a wholesome little ecosystem of local homegrown businesses showing utmost creativity with, food, plants, wax, slow-living vibes, everything. I took my time strolling from one stall to another and it just felt so grounding. I ended up picking a small Bok choy plant (because apparently my mountain life version 2.0 now includes growing veggies), some gorgeous bell peppers, turmeric, and a few essentials from @greenich_greens (I need a farm tour puhleeez). @the_zibahouse totally got me with their Atta jaggery cookies, and I swear the smell alone should be a household name. And then… the star moment... A plate blessed with Shami Kebab Mutton wrapped in Ulte Tawe Ke Parathe from @homebyasna. Pure heaven. Soft, flavourful, comforting; exactly the kind of food that hugs you back. @soiacera_bysonali kiosk had the dreamiest Christmas-themed candle with the essence of sage and citrus. I genuinely can’t wait to smell it during my little home spa time. @erthaproducts tempted me with their jawar and ragi cookies + some muffins, and okay, yes, I happily gave in.
