Aritro's Post

Sasthi Pujo at my Dehradun home was a grand affair! Mom's in town so cooking is in full swing. Mom's a professional backpacker- by that I mean she knows exactly the amount of meat and fish I'd need for a month to survive. Lol. Airport security forces are extremely kind as always. For our Sasthi brekkie we chose to order Poori Aloo Zeera from Punjabi Cloud Kitchen (absolutely no idea about the place, never known in a decade) but they absolutely smashed the Aloo Zeera. I'm an official fan now. No doubt we chose to order our breakfast to concentrate on prepping up a Jamai Sasthi meal (No jamai just me lol) It's raining cats and dogs in Dehradun and needless to say a Bong leans on Ilish Maach. Ilish Bhapa, the ritual favourite had to be on Shoshthi lunch menu along with moong dal, pomfret fry, pyaare pyaare chawal (as @thegayukitchen says ❤️), some achaar and uchhe bhaja (stir fried bitter gourd). What else can you ask for? The bhaat-ghum that followed was utmost peaceful! Had to take my mom to one of my favourite places to dine in @gulsarai_rajpur and she hopped like Rapunzel throughout the property. @kumud_shivpuri_taimni we had some really filling sandwiches and honey chilli fries. Great food as usual.
