I had the chance to experience the coastal charm of Bhatkali cuisine, a tapestry of aromatic spices, soulful biryanis, and seafood delicacies that bring tradition and taste to life. At the “Flavours from Bhatkal” festival at Sheraton Hyderabad, Chef Fatima Banu showcased this unique micro-cuisine with dishes that were as comforting as they were flavourful. From the refreshing cucumber-based Thounsa Sherbet to the homestyle Bhatkali Khichdi, the robust Mutton Sharwo with Khotay (rice & coconut dumplings), and the distinctive semolina based Chicken Shaaya Biryani, every plate revealed a new facet of this lesser-known culinary heritage. Even the dessert, Shaaya Godaan, left a lasting impression. Truly, one of the most memorable food showcases Hyderabad has seen in recent times. @sheratonhyderabad @shruti.ramgiri @ladyandladle [Regional Cuisine, Karnataka, Food Festival, Hyderabad, Bhatkal, Karnataka Cuisine, Food Lover, Food] #foodaholix #hyderabad #hyderabadrestaurants #hyderabadfoodie #foodie #restaurant #food #restaurantsinhyderabad #explore #finedininghyderabad #regionalcuisine #foodfestival #foodfest #bhatkal #bhatkallyfood #karnataka #karnatakafood #karnatakafoodie
