MG Windsor emerged as the biggest surprise and top seller with over 43,000 units, winning buyers through value-for-money pricing, spacious interiors, and MG’s growing EV credibility. Tata Motors remained the overall EV leader, crossing 2.5 lakh cumulative EV sales, powered mainly by the Nexon EV, Tiago EV, and Punch EV, which appealed to buyers across budget and body-style preferences. Mahindra made a strong impact with its new-age EVs like the XEV 9e and BE 6, showing that fresh, EV-first designs resonate well with customers. Larger and more premium EVs such as the Harrier EV and Hyundai Creta Electric also gained traction, while sedan-based or awkwardly positioned models like the Tigor EV and Curvv EV struggled.
