Toyota Gazoo Racing has unveiled its new flagship supercar, the GR GT — a road-legal, two-seat machine built from the ground up with a focus on pure performance, handling, and driver involvement. It’s powered by a new twin-turbo 4.0L hybrid V8, targeting 650hp and 850Nm, driving the rear wheels via an 8-speed automatic with a wet clutch and LSD. The car features an aero-driven design, an all-aluminium body frame, and carbon-fibre panels, aiming for a weight below 1,750kg with a 45:55 balance. It uses double-wishbone suspension, Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes, and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres. Inside, the GR GT gets a simple, driver-focused cabin with carbon bucket seats, physical buttons, a digital cluster, and minimal luxury — even removing Toyota badges to highlight GR’s identity. Developed with mentorship from the Lexus LFA engineering team, the GR GT is set to enter production in 2027, taking on the AMG GT, Porsche 911, and Aston Martin Vantage. #toyotagazooracing #toyota
