Lexus is reviving the legendary LFA nameplate for a new electric supercar, marking a shift from its iconic V10 heritage to a fully electric future. The upcoming LFA EV is being co-developed with the newly revealed Toyota GR GT, sharing its aluminium-intensive underpinnings but featuring a completely bespoke exterior and a futuristic, minimalistic cabin with steer-by-wire tech. The electric LFA will measure 4,690mm in length, 2,040mm in width, 1,195mm in height, and have a 2,725mm wheelbase, giving it a footprint similar to grand tourers like the DB12 and Continental GT but with a much lower profile—hinting that the batteries may not be placed under the floor. While performance details remain undisclosed, the LFA is a strong candidate to debut Toyota’s upcoming solid-state battery technology, expected within two years. These next-gen batteries promise double the power, triple the range, and significantly smaller packaging, ideal for a tightly packaged, high-performance EV. No launch timeline has been announced yet, but the revived LFA is set to become Lexus’ new electric halo supercar. #lexus #lexusnews
