Balwant Singh Dhaba began as a meeting place for the Ghadar Party where freedom fighters met, planned, debated and also cooked. In 1926, it officially became a restaurant, but the soul of that old Punjabi kitchen still lingers in every bite. Today, it’s a Kolkata icon. Famous for its vegetarian delicacies all year but in winter, Balwant Singh's food just hits different.
