Yesterday, I was invited as a panelist at Money & Her – The Hyderabad Chapter, an educational initiative by 1 Finance, held at Novotel Hyderabad Convention Centre. It was heartening to see a packed room with such an engaged, curious audience, asking questions, listening deeply, and staying present through the conversations. The amazing @lisapbarbora spoke about her wonderful, much-needed book Money & Her that brings real women’s money stories to the centre of the conversation. As a panelist, I shared perspectives from my journey as a serial entrepreneur and mentor to several women on why earning well does not automatically translate to financial security for women, and how continuity, visibility, and valuing time are often missing from the equation. I also touched upon the importance of owning the systems and valuing ourselves for what we bring to the table and what we deserve. Kudos to the @1financehq team and @upshotbrandmedia for curating a thoughtful, warm, and well-structured evening, and to Lisa for anchoring the conversation with so much clarity and intent. Glad to have been a part of this initiative. To many more!
