THE ANCHORING TECHNIQUE - A game-changing NLP tool I teach my babies (and I have taught it to many adults too, this is a modified version for babies) Here’s how it works: ✨ Step 1: Have your child close their eyes and visualize their happiest memory, favorite place, or a moment when they felt completely safe and loved, you can guide them into it as well ✨ Step 2: While they’re fully immersed in that joyful feeling, create a physical “anchor” - a gentle squeeze on their hand, touch on their shoulder, or even a specific gesture they can do themselves ✨ Step 3: Repeat this process 3-5 times over different sessions to strengthen the neural connection ✨ Step 4: When they’re upset, anxious, or overwhelmed, “fire” that anchor to instantly transport them back to their calm, happy state Why it’s so powerful: Our brains naturally create neural pathways that link physical sensations to emotional states. This scientifically-backed NLP technique gives children (and adults!) a portable tool to self-regulate emotions and access inner peace anywhere, anytime. As an NLP coach, I’ve witnessed this simple technique transform how entire families handle meltdowns, bedtime fears, school anxiety, and daily stress. The best part? Once children master this, they have a lifelong skill for emotional resilience. Try it with your children this week - you’ll be amazed at how quickly they can shift from distressed to peaceful! It’s like giving them an emotional superpower they can use independently. Let me know if you plan to try it :) . . . . . . . . #NLP #AnchoringTechnique #ParentingHacks #EmotionalRegulation #NLPCoach
