You check your phone every morning… But do you check your poop? 💩 I know — not the most glamorous topic. But in Ayurveda, your stool is one of the clearest signs of what's going on inside your body. Forget fancy lab tests — your toilet is your everyday diagnostic lab. Here’s how your poop connects to your Dosha balance: 🔹 Dry, hard, pellet-like stool? → Likely a Vata imbalance. Your colon may be dry or irregular — often due to stress, cold/raw foods, travel, or erratic routines. You may also feel bloated, anxious, or constipated. 🌀 Apana Vayu, the downward-moving energy, gets blocked — which can affect elimination and even your hormones. 🔸 Loose, yellowish, strong-smelling poop? → This often signals Pitta imbalance. Too much heat in the system — maybe from spicy food, overworking, or intense emotions. This kind of digestion tends to be sharp and aggressive, and can lead to acidity or inflammation. 🔥 Time to cool down, slow down, and simplify. ⚪ Sticky, mucus-heavy, slow-moving poop? → That’s typically a Kapha dominance. Heavy, oily foods, sedentary lifestyle, or emotional dullness can slow down your agni (digestive fire). The body builds ama (toxins), and it reflects in how you feel — sluggish, foggy, or unmotivated. 🌱 Lightness, movement, and stimulation help balance this. So yes — your yoga mat and your gut are more connected than you think. From digestion to mental clarity, skin to sleep — everything starts with agni. ✨ Observe. Don't ignore. That's true self-care.
