
Winter recipes - Episode 20 -Methi Muthiyas • Finely chop a bunch of fresh methi (fenugreek) • In a bowl, add: • ½ cup wheat flour • ½ cup besan (chickpea flour) • ¾ tsp suji (semolina) • 1 tsp sesame seeds • 1 tbsp red chilli powder • 1 tsp ajwain • Salt to taste • 1 tbsp jaggery • 1 tbsp oil • 1 tbsp lemon juice • 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste (optional) • Mix everything well, then add the chopped methi leaves. • Add water / curd little by little and knead into a tight dough • Grease your palms with oil and shape the dough into small muthiyas. • Steam them for 20 minutes on low–medium heat. For the tadka: • Heat ½ tbsp oil in a pan. • Add ½ tbsp mustard seeds and 1 tbsp sesame seeds. • Add the steamed muthiyas and gently toss them in the tadka. • Garnish with lots of fresh coriander and serve warm. 💚 (Winter recipes , methi recipes , methi muthiya , tiffin recipes )
