EPISODE 15: WINTER SERIES — WATER CHESTNUT POWER CHAAT 🥗❄️ (tangy, crunchy, immunity-boosting) Ingredients: • Fresh water chestnuts (singhade) – 250grams • Cucumber – finely chopped • Roasted peanuts – handful, crushed • Garlic – 1 cloves, crushed • Tamarind water – as needed • Jaggery – 1 tsp (adjust to taste) • Salt – to taste • Lemon juice – 1 tbsp • Chili powder – ¼ tsp (optional) Method: 1. Prep: Wash and peel the water chestnuts. You don’t need to boil them — but if you prefer them softer or slightly mushy, steam for 5–6 minutes. Chop into tiny bite-sized pieces. 2. Crush: Crush the garlic well. Add roasted peanuts and crush them lightly for a chunky texture. 3. Dressing: In a bowl, mix tamarind water, jaggery, and salt until the jaggery melts. 4. Assemble: Add the chopped water chestnuts, crushed garlic-peanut mix, and chopped cucumber into the dressing. 5. Finish: Add lemon juice and chili powder (optional). Toss well.
