
Winter recipes: Episode 14 Amlaprash at home, yes heard it right. After making this a couple of time I can say now, I have mastered this ! I mean look at the colour Amlas are in season and also it makes a great immunity booster , doesn’t take long to make and can be stored for 1month! So thought why not make this You will need Amla purée 200gram Jaggery 200gram Ghee 5spoon Nut mix 5spoon I used the the jaggery and nut powder If you don’t have nut mix -roast almond, pistachio, cashew, saffron strands and make a powder Spice mix ingredients Bay leaf 1 Clove 4 Cardamom 4 ginger (1/2 inch ) Nutmeg ( 1/4 ) Pepper 7 Fennel seeds 1 spoon Cumin 1 spoon Cinnamon 1/2 inch After adding the ghee in a pan , add the steamed, grinded amla , and sauté till it gets properly cooked approx 5-6 min , add grinded and sieved spices,nut powder and cook for 5-7mins , add jaggery and cook for 7-10 minutes,keep stirring continuously. Let it cool down completely before you can put it in a glass jar. Not recommended for under one year of age.
