Ishita's Post

Waited almost 10 years for this day. From choosing Science with Biology in Class 11 to standing at my convocation today, I finally achieved my dream of becoming a doctor. Every year brought a struggle that once felt impossible to survive, but somehow, I did. • Took 2 drop years after Class 12
• Failed Anatomy in first year
• Failed Microbiology and Pathology in second year
• Lost my grandfather in third year
• Faced a betrayal so painful in final year that I wanted to end it all before my exams
• Lost my dad during internship year I went through things in five years that I wouldn’t wish upon my worst enemy. The Ishita who joined MBBS in 2020 and the Ishita graduating in 2026 are two completely different people. The Ishita graduating today is humble enough to understand that whatever life gives, life can also take away in an instant. She is grateful for everything she has today, but also strong enough to believe that she can survive absolutely anything that comes her way. She is not here to quit. Today marks the end of an era. A day that proves that I did it. I survived everything, and I am still standing. Yes, I wish my grandfather and my dad were here to see me become a doctor. But I am grateful to be surrounded by the people who loved and supported me through it all. This degree does not belong to me alone. It equally belongs to every person who stood behind me when I needed them the most. As I take the Hippocratic Oath today, I promise to use this degree in the best way possible — to treat and help people with all the knowledge I have and with kindness in my heart. I hope the worst is behind me now, and that the journey ahead is upward and onward from here. Signing in,
