⬇️Vaginal Prolapse After Hysterectomy What is it? After uterus removal, the top of the vagina loses support and may start to drop down. sometimes even bulging out. This is called vaginal vault prolapse. Risk Factors: Support ligaments become weak after surgery Pelvic floor muscles already weak Age > 50 Multiple deliveries Obesity Chronic cough/constipation Heavy lifting Common Symptoms: Feeling of “something coming down” Vaginal bulge Pelvic heaviness / dragging pain Lower backache Urinary issues (leakage, urgency, incomplete emptying) Constipation / needing to press to pass stool Painful intercourse When to see a doctor? ✔️If the bulge is visible ✔️If pelvic pressure affects walking/sitting ✔️If urine leakage or difficulty emptying bladder ✔️If bowel movements become difficult ✔️If symptoms affect daily life or intimacy Had to repost this again!!! . #doctor #vaginalvaultprolapse #mbbs #gynaecology #prolapse
