Barish khicuri But not just any khichuri… the overcooked, patla, gorom gorom kind the one that only tastes right for those first few minutes. After that, it’s just not the same. I think khichuri is easily one of the most important foods we have. Not even a debate. There are so many versions bhoger, niramish, maayer haater but this one? This is the kind you make when life feels a little too much. Brishtir din, mon kharap, ba just kichu ranna korte iccha korche na ei khichuri shob shomoy thik lage. And of course, it has to be served with kosha aloo dum, maybe a papor bhaja, aar ek spoon ghee on top… aar suddenly everything feels a little lighter. Maybe it’s not just food. Maybe it’s just comfort.
