Maybe I was never an introvert Growing up, I used to think I was an introvert awkward in groups, always holding back, words sticking in my throat like dry toast. But maybe, just maybe, it wasn’t introversion. Maybe I just didn’t know how to feel safe enough to speak. Cut to today: I’m standing in my kitchen making these gooey, jaggery-sweet caramel banana muffins stuffed with peanut butter and dark chocolate. And I’m not shy about it.
