If you are going to Amsterdam, don’t miss going to this pretty city called Utrecht. We strolled along the canals, ate the most delicious stroopwafels, stocked up on Dutch cheese, sat on a swing by the river, and spent hours simply soaking in the atmosphere. No rushing from one landmark to another. No checklist. Utrecht has a quiet charm. The canals sit lower than the streets, lined with cafés and terraces right by the water, and everywhere you look there are beautiful old buildings and bicycles. The highlight for me was stepping inside the church, and its picture perfect cafe where we also saw a beautiful bridal photoshoot. Photos don’t do justice. The sheer scale, the details, the history—it completely took my breath away.
