On the flight back home after every trip, I give my kids a pencil and paper and ask them to write about their favourite moments. No rules, no word limit. And honestly, it’s become my little ninja trick 😄 They stay busy without screens… but more than that, they actually relive the trip. And it’s such a revelation for me as a mom. What I think was the highlight vs what they write—so different. We just got back from Gulmarg, and Aarna, my 6-year-old daughter, mostly wrote about seeing monkeys and playing in the snow with us 🥹 Not skiing. Not the views. Just her little moments. Somehow, this also gently gets them back into “school mode” without me saying anything. And over time, I feel like it’s building gratitude too… in the simplest way. 🤍 Have you tried this ever?
