#KolkataComicCon was FINALLY HERE! and boy was it worth every penny spent! I have spent years watching other cities in India host Comic Cons, feeling a mix of FOMO and being envious. Not going to lie but I have attended @comicconindia in Bangalore and Mumbai. But this time, Kolkata finally got its own Comic Con—and my excitement knew no bounds! At the same time there was this fear of it being a damper compared to other cities. I was proved wrong and thankfully so 💫 As tradition goes, I dress up as my favourite character from a comic or a series and attend Comic Con- whichever city I am in. The Kolkata Comic Con wasn’t an exception . I dressed up as Hermione Granger, and it was hilarious to see how people thought I was part of the cosplay competition and took random selfies with me, and some with their kids 😂🙈 The venue was buzzing with comic artists, illustrators, and legendary creators—including the minds behind Archie, Supandi, and Shikari Shambhu. And then, there were stalls, so many stalls! From merch heaven to collectibles, I couldn’t resist getting myself some goodies and went on one crazy haul! The PlayStation stall had gamers glued to their screens, and the family arcade zone was a riot of nostalgia. Cosplayers brought their A-game, and the performances kept the energy sky-high. It was so spectacular to be in the same space as people who shaped my childhood! I’m at a loss of words here especially with the crowd management and the event! It definitely puts Kolkata on a pedestal it always deserved! This wasn’t just an event—it was a celebration of fandoms, nostalgia, and pure geek joy. Kolkata, we waited long enough, and we did NOT disappoint! Can’t wait for next year already! #KolkataComicCon #ComicConIndia #GeekModeOn
