This iconic spot, tucked away near the Mahalaxmi Temple in Panjim, is where authentic Konkani flavors meet an old-world Goan vibe that’s hard to find elsewhere. . Established in 1972, it’s no surprise that this restaurant is always throbbing with food lovers and even celebrities soaking in its charm. . Walking into Kokni Kanteen felt like stepping into a Goan grandma’s cozy kitchen. Red laterite walls, vintage props, and a softly humming Konkani playlist set the perfect mood. . Their cocktail menu is equally unforgettable; sipping on their quirky Traffik Jaaam ( fresh orange juice, lime juice and vodka) was the perfect way to beat the Goan heat. . 🍂 But it’s the food that’s the real star here. I dove headfirst into their legendary fish thali, and let me tell you, it ruined all other thalis for me because it is literally a seafood lover’s dream. Pair it with their kokum saar and sol kadi, and you’ve got yourself a plateful of heaven. . Coming to their desserts, while the Bebinca was pretty average for my liking, it’s their Ceradura that stole the show! Layers of biscuit crumble hide the creamiest milkmaid and cream pudding underneath—every bite was indulgence redefined. 😍 . What sets Kokni Kanteen apart isn’t just the food; it’s the whole experience. The friendly staff, the bustling yet homely vibe, and the palpable history make it more than just a meal.
