
This Oats Makhana Idli is soft & fluffy. It’s rich in protein & is naturally fermented which is very good for our gut health. ~ Detailed recipe for Oats Makhana Idli - Ingredients - 1. Oats - 1/4 cup 2. Moong daal - 1/4 cup 3. Kabuli chana - 1/4 cup 4. Poha - 1/4 cup 5. Almonds - 1/4 cup 6. Makhana - 1 cup 7. Urad daal - 1 cup 8. Methi dana - 1/2 tsp 9. Salt - 1 tsp (as per taste) Method - 1. In a big bowl put all the ingredients - oats, moong daal, kabuli chana, poha, almonds, makhana, urad daal & methi dana. 2. Wash it at least 3-4 times & let it soak for 4-5 hrs. 3. Now grind it using less water & add salt into it. 4. Mix the batter nicely, cover it & let it ferment for 6-7 hrs (sometimes in summer batter gets fermented before 6hrs) *** nice fermented batter will smell little sour/tangy. should be light & airy. But it should not smell foul/ stinky *** 5. Once the batter is fermented you can keep it in fridge - if not using immediately. 6. Now grease idli moulds & pour batter in it. Steam cook for 12-15 mins on high flame & let the idli for a couple of mins rest before de-moulding it. 7.
