It’s not about less SCREENTIME.It’s about better screen time. It's not just screentime that alone decides child's behaviour. At our home, we don’t believe in shutting screen time for our son. Instead, we make it work for him. When he’s on screen, it’s not just cartoons—it’s drawing apps, math games, fun science videos, and even dance workouts. Here's how we made it 1. CHOOSE EDUCATIONAL SHOWS:Pick programs that teach science, nature, language, or problem-solving. (e.g., Discovery Kids, Nat Geo, or age-appropriate learning shows) 2.BALANCE FUN + LEARNING: Mix cartoons with educational shows so kids get both entertainment and value 3.WATCH TOGETHER: Sit with your child if possible or keep an eye on it and discuss what’s happening on screen. It makes TV time interactive, not passive. 4.SET A THEME DAY:For example: “Animal Day” – Watch a documentary, then draw the animal or read about it afterwards. 4.LINK TO REAL LIFE:If they watch a cooking show, try the recipe together. If it’s about planets, step outside at night and spot stars. 5.ENCOURAGE CREATIVITY:Let kids draw their favourite character, act out a scene, or tell their own ending to the story. 6.ACTIVE BREAKS:Pause in between to ask questions: “What do you think will happen next?” or what did we learn from this scene? 7.SET CLEAR LIMITS: Define a fixed time (e.g., 1 hour a day), so it doesn’t turn into endless viewing. ➡️CLOSING TIP FOR PARENTS: “TV isn’t bad—it’s how you guide it. Make it less about just watching and more about learning, bonding, and creating.” Parental involvement matters – Watching or playing together makes screen time educational and a bonding activity ✅️Follow us for more such information 💞
