Today April 30th is celebrated as International Jazz Day, and I had the pleasure of attending a remarkable concert in Bangalore at as part of the artistes from Germany, South Korea and Serbia are part of Banyan Tree’s World Jazz Festival April 28 at Chowdiah Memorial Hall @worldjazzfest. The concert featured several young and talented jazz artists, including Akshaye Ganesh on the violin. The music was a perfect blend of collaboration and improvisation, showcasing the diverse range of styles and sounds within the jazz genre foreign artistes in a fusion ensemble too. One of the highlights of the concert was the performance of the "Classy Classy Cats" album, which was a nod to the rich history of jazz and the contributions of legendary artists. @banyan_tree_events in collaboration with International Jazz Festival, founded in 2020 with Mahesh Babu as a key player, aims to develop the jazz scene in India. In its first two editions, it traveled to five cities, including Bangalore, Mumbai, and Pune, collaborating with world-class jazz musicians like Alexander. The festival is also focused on jazz for kids, showcasing young artists and promoting improvisation. In addition, it provided opportunities for senior citizens in Dehradoon to experience the joy of music. The festival's concerts, such as the Story of Jazz from Bulgaria performance, were a hit. Today, on International Jazz Day, let us celebrate the music that brings people together from all around the world.
