It’s been ages since my last visit to Delhi, but my craving for some authentic chaat remained. That’s why when I received an invitation to check out new menu add ons @shyamjischolebhature Shyam Ji’s flagship store in Malleshwaram, I thought, “why not?” And am I glad I did! Despite the heavy traffic, I made it to Shyam Ji’s and was thrilled to see all my favorite chaat items under one roof. From the crispy sooji ka golgappa to the mouth-watering chutneys made with their traditional masala recipes, everything was a delight for my taste buds. Although I’m not a fan of overly sweet dishes, I couldn’t resist the hot gulab jamoon and matka Rabri. And let’s not forget about the Pav bhaaji that was made with pure ghee and without any artificial coloring - it was a burst of flavors in every bite. The love and affection that went into the invite were reflected as I relished every bite the Raj Kachori, even though it wasn’t the regular size I was used to But the reasonable price made up for it, and I ended up enjoying more of their delicious varieties. From the yummy Rajma, Palak pakodi wali Kadhi and shahi paneer, yes I had it all and was left feeling like a satisfied soul at the end.
