What a lively and enriching morning it was yesterday at AppuWorld Library! We began the Character Creation workshop with a unique reflection activity where the kids explored themselves as characters — identifying traits, quirks, and adjectives that define their personalities. It was such a fun way to build awareness and understand how the right words bring people (and stories) to life! From there, we dived into a discussion on what makes characters truly memorable - their goals, flaws, and motivations. This was followed by a super fun quiz on popular literary protagonists and antagonists that had everyone excitedly guessing. Each participant then received BTB’s exclusive Character Creation Checklist, our signature toolkit designed to help young writers craft layered, imaginative characters. And what came out of it was incredible! Every child created, wrote about, and even sketched their own unique characters!
