🌟 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘄𝗮𝗹𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗶𝗱𝗱𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗮 𝗷𝘂𝗿𝘆 𝗱𝘂𝘁𝘆? 𝗜 𝗱𝗶𝗱. 𝗔𝗹𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁. 𝘕𝘰𝘵 𝘣𝘦𝘤𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘐 𝘸𝘢𝘴𝘯’𝘵 𝘦𝘯𝘫𝘰𝘺𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘵—𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘣𝘦𝘤𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘐 𝘨𝘦𝘯𝘶𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘭𝘺 𝘧𝘦𝘭𝘵 𝘰𝘶𝘵𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘥 𝘣𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘣𝘳𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘪𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘐 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘦𝘥. 𝘓𝘦𝘵 𝘮𝘦 𝘦𝘹𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘪𝘯. On 21st September 2025, I had the honour of being 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝗷𝘂𝗿𝘆 member for the grand finale of 𝗕𝗧𝗕 𝗕𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲𝘀 – 𝗦𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝟮, a live online debate competition organized by the incredible team at Beyond The Box. Alongside the 𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘶𝘭𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘱𝘢𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘦 Kajal kapur, I stepped into this role with curiosity and a hint of skepticism. "What could tweens and young teens possibly debate on with depth?" I asked myself. 𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗹, 𝗹𝗲𝘁’𝘀 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝘀𝗮𝘆—𝗜 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝗵𝘂𝗺𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝘄𝗲-𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗲. 🧠 𝗦𝗶𝘅 𝗱𝗲𝗯𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀. 𝗧𝘄𝗲𝗹𝘃𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘀. 𝗟𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗮𝘀. From the first argument to the last rebuttal, I sat spellbound. These young debaters weren’t just speaking; they were thinking, researching, challenging, and changing the room with every word. Their confidence, clarity, and command of language would rival that of seasoned speakers. Each topic sparked fierce yet respectful dialogue, peppered with nuance, insight, and conviction. I found myself both judging and learning—often in the same breath. 👏 𝗛𝘂𝗴𝗲 𝗸𝘂𝗱𝗼𝘀 𝘁𝗼 Anupama Dalmia, Founder, Beyond the box & the entire team for curating such a stellar platform for young minds to shine. BTB Battles is more than just a competition—it’s a movement in empowering the next generation of thinkers, leaders, and change-makers. As a professional speaker and writer, I often talk about the power of words. That Sunday, I saw that power wielded with fearless integrity by children— and it moved me deeply.
