I was in my balcony when I heard loud music and happy crowd, I immediately ran to see what was happening! I was in my pajamas and I’d not even brushed my teeth 😂 It’s the Seng Kut Snem Festival of the Khasi community. Literally the whole of Shillong was out in the street celebrating and dancing! What shocked me was despite the crowd everything felt so peaceful and safe! The roads were blocked for vehicles but when an ambulance came, thousands of people immediately gave way! I am right now in Meghalaya. I knew the nature here was beautiful, but what I didn’t expect was to fall in love with the city that Shillong is so much! You have to experience this at least once in your lifetime!
