I still can’t believe I drove across the wild plains of Kenya and Tanzania 🦁🚙 Just us, the crazy terrain, and a whole lot of wildlife. There were moments I stopped the car and a lion walked right up to me. No fences. No rush. Just raw, untamed Africa at my window. I saw over 80 lions, hundreds of elephants, thousands of zebras, wildebeest, giraffes and animals I didn’t even know existed. Self-driving safari gave me something most safaris don’t: freedom. No fixed route, no fixed timings, no one hurrying me along, I could spend hours just watching a single pride of lions or following a herd of elephants as they crossed the savanna. Typical safari tours can feel a little passive because you just sit and go wherever the guide takes you. But here, I was in control. And driving those massive 4x4 beasts across muddy trails, river crossings, and rocky escarpments? It made me feel powerful. If you’re the kind of person who loves adventure, independence, and a little dust in your hair then this is the safari for you.
