Everyone’s talking about Lakshadweep, but not enough people are talking about how hard it actually is to go there. Tourism is quite restricted here. You need police clearance and a permit that takes 15–20 days to process. It’s funny because it’s actually easier to go to Maldives which is a different country altogether!! But honestly… Lakshadweep is so worth it. Crystal-clear lagoons, white sand beaches, coral reefs, and the bluest waters I’ve seen in India. It feels raw, untouched, peaceful—almost like a secret paradise. How to go: 1. Apply for PCC: you can apply online (only applicable for some states) or go to the nearest police station. I did it offline and it took me an around 10 days. 2. Reach out to any tour agent or resort/stay in Lakshadweep for permit. Do it at least a month in advance, because permit is issued in limited quantities and it gets exhausted pretty fast. 3. Book your tickets, you’re all set to go! I booked my flight from north goa, you can also go from Kochi. It’s a process—but maybe that’s what protects its beauty. Still, I keep wondering—if Lakshadweep became as easy to visit as Goa… would it stay this magical? What do you think—should it stay exclusive, or open up more?
