দক্ষিণবঙ্গে ধেয়ে এসেছে স্কোয়াল ফ্রন্ট! আকাশ দেখে মনে হচ্ছে পেট খারাপ হয়েছে তাই তো? কিন্তু কি এই স্কোয়াল ফ্রন্ট? স্কোয়াল ফ্রণ্ট হলো এমন একটি আকস্মিক আবহাওয়াগত প্রাচীর বা সীমারেখা, যার বরাবর প্রবল ঝড়ো হাওয়া, বজ্রঝড় ও ভারী বৃষ্টি সৃষ্টি হয়। আবহাওয়াবিদ্যার ভাষায় একে বলা হয় একটি শক্তিশালী “বাতাসের সংঘর্ষরেখা”, যেখানে উষ্ণ আর্দ্র বাতাস ও শুষ্ক ঠাণ্ডা বাতাস একে অপরের সঙ্গে ধাক্কা খায়। এই সংঘর্ষ থেকেই গড়ে ওঠে দানবীয় কিউমুলোনিম্বাস মেঘ এবং তার ফলেই হয় বজ্রপাত, মেঘফাটা বৃষ্টি, এমনকি শিলাবৃষ্টিও। স্কোয়াল ফ্রণ্ট সাধারণত খুব অল্প সময়ের মধ্যেই তৈরি হয় এবং হঠাৎ করেই চারপাশে অন্ধকার নেমে আসে। এর সঙ্গে দেখা যায় প্রবল ঝড়ো হাওয়া, ক্লাউড ব্লাস্ট, মাইক্রো ব্লাস্ট ও ভয়াবহ বজ্রঝঞ্ঝা। সাধারণ মানুষের কাছে এটি যেন এক অদৃশ্য প্রাচীর, যা ধেয়ে এসে মুহূর্তের মধ্যে সবকিছু ওলটপালট করে দিতে পারে। ১-লা সেপ্টেম্বর ২০২৫ রাত ১১টা থেকে ২-রা সেপ্টেম্বর ২০২৫ সকাল ১১ টার মধ্যে, অর্থাৎ সোমবার রাত থেকে মঙ্গলবার সকাল পর্যন্ত থাকবে এই শক্তিশালী স্কোয়াল ফ্রণ্ট। #squallfront #weather #climate #westbengal
