Aashi's Post

To say that this year has been eventful would be an understatement and if not for social media, this reel is for me. It’s a reminder of all that happened in 2025, what I went through, the dreams that came to life, and all that I survived. So here’s a little recap/get to know me: 1. I left my job - a place I’d called home for 5 years, where I discovered what I loved, what I’m good at, and met wonderful people. Some of those are now my closest friends. It was a comfortable space but life just needed more attention. 2. I got married - moved pin codes, left family behind, was (and occasionally continue to be) heartbroken and lonely, learnt new responsibilities, got exposed to hardcore adulting, lost pieces of myself but also discovered parts of me that I never knew existed. Through it all, my silver lining was finding a partner that’s a garden full of green flags and his family? Oh they’re a whole green parking lot in themselves. 3. Started creating content for @thearrangedmarriageproject - it’s not consistent, I’m still figuring my way through it while managing a new marriage, families, adult responsibilities, and a job. But I’m doing it, I’m showing up whenever I can. So that people who’re entering the arranged marriage system, don’t feel alone or overwhelmed. 4. I got a new job - Do I miss my old one? Yes. More often than I’d like to. But mostly the comfort of it, the familiarity it gave and how it almost became second nature. But I also learnt to close the chapter and move onto whatever comes next. To learning new things, to growing, and to adapting. 5. I travelled - All my life, I’ve only ever travelled with my family which was typically 1 international trip a year. Did I want more? Oh yes. So much more. Since getting married, we’ve taken 2 international trips, and have managed to travel every 2 weeks (unintentionally) to different cities, states, and more. Adulting is hard but sometimes, oh so freeing too. Are these all wins? Absolutely. Are there losses too? You bet. Here’s to the fucking season of 2025✨🥂
