A day well spent in Kolkata.. and a side of India that somehow doesn’t make it to Instagram enough. I was surprised by how few people (and tourists) I saw here. This city carries so much history, depth, and humanity, yet it quietly exists without needing validation. Visiting the Mother Teresa Museum moved me in ways I didn’t expect. It wasn’t just about religion, it was about compassion, service, and doing good without expecting anything in return. I couldn’t stop crying. Some places don’t ask to be photographed, they ask to be felt. Yes, Kolkata’s food is incredible. The fish thalis truly have my heart (I even brought back spice mixes and a Bengali recipe book). But beyond the plates and streets, it’s this softer, soulful side of Kolkata that deserves more credit. . . {Kolkata travel, unseen India, cultural India, Mother Teresa Museum, meaningful travel, soulful cities, slow travel India, emotional travel experiences, Indian history and humanity, Kolkata food culture, Bengali cuisine, fish thali love, travel beyond Instagram, underrated Indian cities, authentic India experiences} #kolkata #offbeatindia #IndiaTrip #bengalicuisine #calcutta
