Lucknow truly knows how to feed your soul, Awadhi cuisine is something else 💛 My absolute favourite meal has to be Naimat Khana. Their khade masale ka gosht was unreal, it was rich, perfectly spiced, and so comforting. There was a subtle sweetness from the onions, and I could taste every layer of the spices they used. I’d go back just for that! Idrees Biryani came next, their mutton korma and biryani were bursting with flavour. It’s a tiny spot and so I would recommend getting it packed, but honestly one of the most memorable bites of the trip. And of course, Tunday Kababi. The galouti kebabs and chicken korma lived up to the legend. Melt-in-your-mouth goodness! Dastarkhwan’s chicken masala was fantastic too, and Mubeen’s nahari hit all the right notes. Prakash Kulfi with falooda was delicious (definitely needed that falooda to balance the sweetness). Royal Café’s tokri chaat, beautiful presentation, but pricey and not quite worth the hype (Jaipur still wins for chaat 😅). And finally, Makkhan Malai, soft, airy, and sweet like a cloud.
