I’ve lived in the mountains long enough to know this: Rivers don’t flood in a day. It begins quietly — rain that feels like a blessing, stones that bear just a little more weight than they should. Until one morning, the water is no longer asking. In therapy, we call it overgiving until rupture — a nervous system shaped by childhood to believe that love is earned by pouring more, even when we’re empty. It works for a while. It even feels noble. But giving without return doesn’t make you loving. It makes you disappear. And nature reminds us — overflow isn’t rage. It’s the body saying, enough. The rivers aren’t punishing. They’re reclaiming balance. Maybe we’re allowed to do the same. #himachal #floods #mentalhealth #HimachalFloods #NatureHeals #NatureSpeaks #PsychologyOfNature
