When a manager offers a task to an employee, they see the task as just another piece of work to get done and check the box. But when a manager offers a task to an employee who 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿’𝘀 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘀𝗲𝘁, they pause, try to see the why behind the task, and connect that task to a bigger purpose. Both get the task done. But there's a difference? The person who works with an employee mindset works because they have to. They do not feel inspired by the work they are doing. But the employee working with a leader’s mindset feels inspired by the work they are doing, and they give their natural best to complete any task or work because they know they are connected with the purpose. They work not just because they have to, but because they want to. Same task. Same role. Different mindset. Different impact. When you see only tasks, your contribution stays limited. But when you see purpose, your impact becomes bigger. Remember this, thinking like a leader doesn’t require any title or position.
