But they often forget the most basic thing people expect at work: To be treated with dignity. Respect shows up in small everyday behaviors: ⮩ Listening when someone speaks. ⮩ Acknowledging effort, not just results. ⮩ Disagreeing without humiliating. ⮩ Treating every role with equal dignity. When respect disappears, something else disappears with it: Trust. Engagement. Ownership. People may continue working, but they stop caring. Great leadership does not start with authority or control.
