
Winter special ~ Gond Ladoo ~ Detailed recipe for Gond ke ladoo - Ingredients - 1. Whole wheat flour - 250 gms 2. Jaggery - 250 gms 3. Ghee - 150 gms - 200 gms (you can adjust quantity as per requirement ) 4. Almonds - 1/3 cup 5. Cashews - 1/3 cup 6. Walnuts - 1/3 cup 7. Raisins - 1/3 cup 8. Gond (winter special) - 50 gms (you can increase the quantity little more) 9. Makhana - 1.5 cups 10. Grated coconut - 1/2 cup 11. Pumpkin seeds - 1/3 cup 12. Melon seeds - 1/4 cup 13. White sesame seeds - 1/4 cup 14. Dry Ginger powder - 1/2 cup 15. Water for jaggery syrup - 1/4 cup Metod - 1. In a heavy bottom pan put two-three tbsp of ghee & fry all the dry fruits one by one - almonds, cashews, walnuts, raisins. 2. You can add pistachio’s too.. 3. Now add more ghee & fry Gond on slow flame, till all of them pop into a bigger size. 4. Add ghee again & fry makhana & grated coconut. 5. Add ghee again & fry all the seeds. 6. In the pan take 3-4 tbsp of ghee again & roast whole wheat flour on low flame for 7-8 mins & then add dry ginger powder & keep roasting them for 5-7 more minutes. 7. Now roughly grind all the dry fruits, makhana & Gond. 8. Now to prepare jaggery syrup add jaggery & water in a separate pan. On slow flame let it melt completely. 9. No need to cook the jaggery syrup a lot because it will turn hard once cooled down. 10. Just let the jaggery melt & give it a boil. Let it cool a little bit. 11. In a parat or a big vessel take everything - roasted whole wheat flour with sonth, grinded dry fruits, makhana & Gond, roasted seeds & grated coconut. 12. Mix them all very well if you feel the mixture is dry you can add some more ghee. 13. Now sieve melted jaggery & mix it well. 14. Make small laddoos of it & store it in airtight jar, when it’s cool down completely. They will be good for 1-2 months.
