Mumbai’s OG Chinese restaurant is still serving Cantonese food the way it was meant to be! 🥢🔥 Tucked behind the iconic Taj, Ling’s Pavilion is one of those places that instantly transports you to another era. From the vintage luxury interiors to a menu so massive that it can genuinely confuse first-timers, this place is a living piece of Mumbai’s food history. What makes it special? This isn’t your regular Indo-Chinese restaurant. Ling’s Pavilion traces its roots back to the family behind the legendary Nanking Restaurant and continues to serve authentic Cantonese-style Chinese cuisine that Mumbai rarely gets to experience today. We tried their Veg Wonton and Spring Rolls which were decent, but the real stars were the Dice Chicken Chilli Garlic and Pork Spare Ribs in Black Bean Sauce. Packed with flavour, rich, and unlike the Chinese food most of us grew up eating. Skip the Bamboo Rice, but don’t miss their gravies and rice noodle combinations. Fair warning: this food isn’t made to please everyone. If you’re expecting your local Chinese corner shop flavours, this might surprise you. But if you want to experience one of Mumbai’s oldest and most authentic Chinese restaurants, this place deserves a visit at least once. Yes, it’s expensive. Yes, the bill might give you a mini heart attack. And yes, the handwriting on the bill deserves its own investigation. 😂 But honestly? The hype is real, and we’re definitely going back to explore more of their classic dishes. 📍 Ling’s Pavilion, Colaba, Mumbai Tag your Chinese food gang and save this for your next South Mumbai food trail! ❤️ #chinese #cantonese #thingstodoinmumbai #southbombay #chinesefood (Ling’s Pavilion, Authentic Cantonese Food, Oldest Chinese Restaurant Mumbai, South Mumbai Food, Colaba Restaurant, Chinese Food Mumbai, Heritage Restaurant, Mumbai Food Guide, Hidden Gem Mumbai, Cantonese Cuisine)
