Here’s the thing Mumbai already has no shortage of solid South Indian spots. So when a brand like Rameshwaram Cafe lands here with full Bangalore hype, the obvious question is… is it actually worth it? After trying it, I get why people are showing up. Their ghee podi thatte idli is easily the standout—soft, rich, and loaded with flavor. Even the idli with neer chutney and vada with neer chutney hit differently here. It’s not your usual experience. The benne dosa is good, filter coffee is strong, and overall quality is genuinely high. But let’s talk about the flip side. The pricing feels pushed. Probably because of the prime Churchgate location right outside the station and metro exit. There’s a constant rush, even on weekdays—but the management doesn’t fully keep up with it. Also, AC dining is almost double the price, which honestly doesn’t feel justified. Open seating makes way more sense here. So yeah, Rameshwaram Cafe isn’t just hype—but it’s not redefining South Indian food either. It’s great quality at a premium price. Definitely worth trying once, especially for that idli—but don’t expect insane value for money. Skip the cold coffee. And honestly, Mumbai still deserves a perfectly priced, authentic South Indian spot—something this place had the chance to become. Save this, share it with your foodie gang, and follow for more honest Mumbai food reviews. #rameshwaramcafe #southindiancuisine #bennedosa #churchgate #thingstodoinmumbai (Rameshwaram cafe, Mumbai, Best south Indian, Thatte idli, sheera, best south Indian restaurant, coffee, filter coffee, idli, benne dosa)
