Personally speaking, Khowsuey is that one pot meal which ticks all the right boxes for the ultimate soul food: comforting, fulfilling and nourishing, while at the same time being a palate pleaser. I mean, who can resist the creamy coconut milk full of flavour and Al dente noodles all getting slathered with the love of condiments like fried onion/garlic, chopped chives, peanuts, lemon etc. So, when I got to know of the ongoing “Comfort is Khowsuey” pop up @burmaburmaindia I was naturally elated! This was just the warmest thing for the wintry evenings that Hyderabad was getting into ! Six different bowls (recipes culled from different regions of Burma) of khowsuey choices. My favourite was the Shwe Taung (a small town in Burma ) Khow suey which had mock meats, pan fried noodles and some sprouts, crunchy-munchy and Absolutely divine! If you think that’s too much Khowsuey, fret not, as there’s a separate khowsuey menu with both main courses & desserts choices being offered. The Wa potato, Crunchy shitake are great starter options. and the For desserts, do not forget to order Coconut & Pineapple Creme Brûlée and the Berry burst are the best options. The pop up is on until the end of January so go try the khowsuey bowls now !
